Chemical Peeling
Chemical peeling
A chemical peel is a procedure for enhancing the look of the skin on the face, neck, and hands. The skin is treated with a chemical solution, which causes it to exfoliate and finally peel off. The new skin, which has been regenerated, is generally smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.
Chemical peels are used to remove wrinkles, discoloration, and scars from the skin. They can be used alone or in combination with other cosmetic procedures. They can also be done at various depths, ranging from light to deep. Chemical peels that are deeper in depth provide more dramatic effects, but they also take longer to recover.
A chemical peel can be used for:
Wrinkles and fine lines
Sun damage
Acne and acne scars
Age spots, freckles, and
Dark geographic patches (melasma)
Uneven skin tone or redness
Improving the look and texture of the skin
